This former carriage house has been beautifully remodeled with quality and style throughout. As part of a family compound, the Bungalhigh rests behind and to the side of the owner’s main house, with views out to the bay and across to Blue Hill Mountain. Brushed stone walkways, laced with gardens and yard art, make for a truly picturesque setting.
Inside, this delightfully charming and comfortable cottage has a small but fully functional kitchen, a stunning living room that has French doors that lead to a wrap around porch, complete with seating and flower baskets and fine water and mountain views.
The gorgeous bedroom (queen bed with exotic swag curtains) has an ensuite bathroom, and a door to another deck off the bedroom.
Just off Blue Hill’s Parker Point Road on Mackay Lane, the village is 1/2 a mile in one direction and the Country Club is 1/8th of a mile in the other direction. Across the bay is a splendid view of the village of Blue Hill with the mountain in the distance and the steeple of a church nestled in among the roof tops of the town.
Chipmunks and red squirrels scamper about in the nearby woods, and seals frolic in the bay in front of the house. depending on the tide, there is fine swimming, (albeit chilly!) for about 2/3rds of the time, and during low tide, one can watch long legged egret and heron strutting about.
A rowing dinghy and a kayak are easily launched off a long jetty in front of the cottage and are available to guests upon signing a waiver. A bench at the end of a nearby point offers a fine place for meditation, peace and quiet. The homeowners are available to assist where needed, but will value your privacy if you so desire.

All rentals are subject to a 7% Maine Lodging Tax, plus an additional, refundable security deposit, and a cleaning fee. Pets are not allowed without prior permission from the owner of the cottage. If granted permission, an additional $100 pet fee is collected and kept at our discretion if any evidence of pet hair or damage is found on your departure.
