Oceanville Retreat is located at the end of a 7/10 mile long drive to a granite lined shorefront, tucked away in a quiet and private setting. Situated only 100 feet from the sea with southern exposure, it has direct views of Isle au Haut from the spacious deck, which runs along the entire waterside of the home. Deep water oceanfront allows for easy launching of kayaks from its granite ledges. Walking trails are just a step away, through acres of surrounding woodland. Inside the home, this post and beam cottage offers comfort and charm. A spacious kitchen w/ bar has large south & east facing windows taking in the outstanding views. A dining area is adjacent to the kitchen, with French Doors leading out to the extensive decking w/ table and seating. An open living and den area with woodstove, and childrens nook, add to the airy feel. A large bedroom (w/ queen and twin) and bath (tub/shower combo) are on the main floor, and two remaining bedrooms (2 twins, 1 king) and full bath (walk in shower) are upstairs. There is also an outdoor heated shower with privacy walls. After enjoying this private setting, it is but a quick 10 minute drive to nearby downtown Stonington and its restaurants, shops, galleries, theater and more. Kayaks, bikes and boating rentals/excursion are less than a 5 minutes drive away, at www.oldquary.com, as is a public park called Settlement Quarry.

All rentals are subject to a 7% Maine Lodging Tax, plus an additional, refundable security deposit, and a cleaning fee. Pets are not allowed without prior permission from the owner of the cottage. If granted permission, an additional $100 pet fee is collected and kept at our discretion if any evidence of pet hair or damage is found on your departure.
