Calling Loon Cottage sits above Woods Pond (Third Pond) and has lake glimpses through the thin layer of trees separating the home from the lake. As the name implies, guests will enjoy of the calls that echo from the loons who make this lake their home. A very short walk (less than a minute) takes you to the lake access for this property. It is a little steep, but easily manageable. The lake is pristine, great for kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. The cottage is bright and airy, with vaulted wooded ceilings with windows running nearly floor to ceiling in the living and dining area, and warmed by the cast iron wood stove. The kitchen w/ bar is well equipped, with all conveniences, including gas range. Two bedrooms with full beds each have easy access to the spacious bath with large walk-in shower. Bird lovers will enjoy the vast array of wood carved and painted birds the owner has made, on display in the home. This cottage is very centrally located to enjoy the sights and activities of the entire Blue Hill Peninsula and Blue Hill village is only a 5-10 minutes drive away. The home is very reasonably priced for a waterfront home in a much desired area.

All rentals are subject to a 7% Maine Lodging Tax, plus an additional, refundable security deposit, and a cleaning fee. Pets are not allowed without prior permission from the owner of the cottage. If granted permission, an additional $100 pet fee is collected and kept at our discretion if any evidence of pet hair or damage is found on your departure.
