On the shore of East Penobscot Bay, this house faces due west and enjoys complete privacy on 8 acres of land. Attractive landscaping around the house features two pretty water gardens connected by a little waterfall. Designed by its architect/owner, the house has a spectacular great room with cathedral ceiling and massive fireplace, a second family room/study/TV room with wood stove, and even a second kitchen with brick floor in the back part of the house. There are three bedrooms (all with twin beds pushed together; two downstairs, one up) and a large loft with futon overlooking the great room. All rentals are subject to a 7% Maine Lodging Tax, plus an additional, refundable security deposit, and a cleaning fee. Pets are not allowed without prior permission from the owner of the cottage. If granted permission, an additional $100 pet fee is collected and kept at our discretion if any evidence of pet hair or damage is found on your departure.
