Tucked in to the hillside of downtown Stonington, Hicks Cottage looks over to Stonington Harbor, as well as outstanding gardens surrounding the property adjacent to this cottage. While not part of this property, these gardens are surely some of the best flower gardens in town. Hicks Cottage is newly renovated and nicely appointed. The large windows and french doors overlook the harbor and gardens, with a gas stove to provide warmth on chilly evenings, and opens to a small balcony/deck. The well stocked, eat-in kitchen is spacious, colorful with its dark blue tiled counters, and features new appliances. The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a double bed. Guests should BE AWARE that the shared bathroom is in the master bedroom, in an open design that does not offer privacy. Thus, this home is better suited to either a single person, a couple, or young family. (it would not be suitable for two couples unless they were VERY comfortable with each other). The house is attractively decorated and has newer appliances and mattresses. Back outside, a grassy spot with picnic table is above the cottage, and also enjoys nice views out to the harbor. This in-town cottage is very convenient to enjoy all the activies of downtown Stonington.

All rentals are subject to a 7% Maine Lodging Tax, plus an additional, refundable security deposit, and a cleaning fee. Pets are not allowed without prior permission from the owner of the cottage. If granted permission, an additional $100 pet fee is collected and kept at our discretion if any evidence of pet hair or damage is found on your departure.
